Mr. Robert Johnston 200 Bristol Glen Drive Apt 211 Newton, NJ 07860
Dear Mr. Johnston,
A belated thanks for sending me a copy of The Way. Your thoughtful analysis of the ways in which spiritual conflict, properly addressed, can lead to spiritual growth, is a concept that will inevitably confront many of our students. I am quite sure that they will appreciate the wisdom that comes from decades spent in contemplation of this issue.
Mr. Johnston, I was particularly taken by your perception of the Kingdom of God as existing in the here and now. Your knowledge of both science and the history of Christianity allows you to deftly layout a contemporary understanding of that Kingdom, one that has evolved from a discrete event that we can only anticipate, to one that is, as you write, "of heart and mind."
I am grateful that you have written this book and that you have sent it to me. It is now in our library where many others will benefit from its message.
With very best wishes,
lain R. Torrance
